Auckland Coastguard, New Zealand's first and largest Coastguard Unit, has been operating since 1939. We are registered charity run by an incredibly dedicated and highly trained group of more than 150 volunteers - ordinary men and women who give up their time to fulfil Coastguard's mission of "Saving Lives at Sea". With no direct government funding, we rely on the generous financial support from our Auckland community.
