ANVIL Ideation started as a simple freelance business in 2006, with a single person taking the odd marketing and communications contract. Back then, the goal was to gain experience and, like so many others, make a little money with a side hustle. However, all good things start small. The freelancer eventually came to realize that there were many like him, working to build something and surviving off odd jobs. It led to an idea. What if someone connected many freelancers and leveraged their expertise to produce amazing work for customers that normally could only be provided by large-scale agencies, and simultaneous help those freelancers gain experience and traction in their fields? Think of it as a liberal arts approach to brand development: customers getting personalized service of high caliber from many professionals, moderated by an experienced expert who coordinates the work on your behalf, all at the fraction of the typical agency cost. That is ANVIL Ideation, and it is an idea we call a micro-agency.
