The Canadian Green Fund Inc. (CGFI is a federally incorporated clean energy and sustainability investment fund solely focused on projects within Canada. We welcome and seek out opportunities to invest in First Nations projects. The Canadian Green Fund is singularly focused on delivering unique funding solutions that provide positive social, environmental and financial results for all. We use funds from a variety of financing sources to back green projects on flexible commercial terms and mobilize other private sector capital into Canada’s green economy. Some of the elements of our business model are as follows: • we are an active investor in Canadian based green infrastructure projects; • we are primarily focused on investing in four broad sectors: energy efficiency; renewable energy generation; energy storage and conservation; and, waste water treatment solutions. Our investments are conservatively managed while dynamically driven to help fund the creation of new energy and conservation infrastructure across the Canada and with that, new jobs in construction, manufacturing, logistics and operations. By demonstrating that projects can be both green and profitable - as well as socially responsible - we can mobilize the required capital to accelerate the movement to a greener and more sustainable economy in Canada. Rather than 'crowding out' capital of any type we work to 'crowd in' capital from a variety of sources. CGFI is inclusive not exclusive. • investments must make positive returns that are measured against our social (jobs), environmental and financial mandates that are inline with a project's risk; • we assist developers by working on a blended portfolio rate of return basis; We provide an opportunity for well-considered projects to obtain the necessary financing and assistance to create successful projects that will drive the Canadian Economy forward.
