BEST is a constantly growing non profit, non political student organisation, represented in 33 countries and 96 Technical Universities which are creating a powerful and innovative students network. The main goal of the organisation is to facilitate the contact between students, companies and universities. Through its main activities, that are focused on offering complementary education, educational involvement and career support, BEST creates opportunities for personal development of students and supports them in reaching their full potential. Local BEST Group Istanbul in Istanbul Technical University, which is known as Uluslararası Mühendislik Kulübü(UMK) became a part of BEST in 2003 and has organised many productive, innovative and academic events in various fields. UMK has strengthened its position in BEST in a short period and has organized dozens of international, national and local event. Every year we organize events that have the main target the students of the Istanbul such as; Turkey Job and Internship Fair, Abroad Opportunities Seminar, EBEC Istanbul(ITU Engineering Competition), Workshops and Training about soft skills.. Through these events we try to offer students complementary education, international environment and career support. Also European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC) Final event which gather 120 top engineering student from all around Europe organised by BEST Istanbul in 2011.
