It is the Southwest’s premier urban hub for living, dining, retail, business, art, entertainment, and both historic and contemporary architecture. Mission To be the catalyst for making Downtown Tucson the place people want to live, work, and play; where new ideas happen; and that is the economic development and cultural epicenter of the region. The Partnership is a non-profit, 501 (c)(6) corporation created in 1998 to implement enhanced municipal services for the Downtown Business Improvement District. These services include maintenance and cleaning, security, marketing and promotions, advocacy and relationship building, and economic development. The Partnership’s activities and expenditures are governed by a diverse Board of Directors, comprised of Downtown property owners and businesses, leaders of non-profits, arts, cultural and historical organizations, neighborhood leaders and representatives of the Partnership’s primary partners, the City of Tucson, Pima County and Rio Nuevo.
