Eurist is a non-governmental organisation promoting policies that improve the environmental, social and economic sustainability of transport and mobility around the world. Our work focuses on the relation between transport and CO2 emission reduction, transport and the Sustainable Development Goals, Poverty Alleviation, Environmental Protection, Road Safety and Freight. EURIST is based in Hamburg, Germany. We work with an extensive network of national and international partners. Our current project: Since 2017 EURIST promotes the African E-Bike in Uganda. They have traveled over 20.000km with the energy of the African sun – and made daily life easier for many people. Complementing ordinary bicycles, EURIST – in close cooperation with FABIO (First African Bicycle Information Organisation) – develops and provides solar-powered Ebikes as innovative mobility option for a livable future.
