The Remote and Rural Enterprise (RARE) Program is an engaged learning program that connects postgraduate and undergraduate students at the University of Sydney with remote and rural enterprises across Australia and Southeast Asia. Students work collaboratively with these enterprises and academic staff to deliver action-research projects that solve real world business challenges and facilitate a two-way learning between students and rural enterprises that delivers enormous value to remote communities. We recognise entrepreneurship to be a powerful change agent, with the potential to positively impact our remote and rural communities' most pressing economic and social challenges. RARE collaborates with multiple stakeholders across government, industry, communities, the not-for-profit sector, foundations, students, entrepreneurs and academics. Our diverse and expansive network contribute significant value to all RARE participants. This group aims facilitate the growth of this network and create new partnerships and opportunities between passionate and driven individuals who care about Australia's remote and rural communities.
