www.vrbqld.com.auThe Valuers Registration Board of Queensland (the Board) is Queensland’s property valuation regulator. Established in 1965 to increase the standard of valuation work and to provide a measure of protection in the public interest, the Board is responsible for the administration of the Valuers Registration Act 1992 and Valuers Registration Regulation 2013. The Board is a self-funded statutory authority who reports to the Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy and has an administrative relationship with its portfolio agency, the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy. The objectives of the Board are to; protect the public by ensuring that a person registered under the Act is competent to value land in Queensland; maintain public confidence in the standards of services provided by registered valuers; impose obligations on persons about the practice of land valuation and their professional conduct; and manage complaints and disciplinary matters concerning valuers.
