The UTI Institute of Capital Markets, was established by Unit Trust of India in 1989 subsequently rechrishtened as Indian Institute of Capital Markets (IICM), to contribute orderly development on Indian Capital Markets as well as other developing countries. The Institute’s objectives are to build a reservoir of knowledge on Indian and International capital markets, disseminate information for the benefit of Indian and International investors and securities industry professionals; to contribute to the orderly and healthy development of securities markets by bringing expertise to bear on structural and policy issues concerning the securities industry; to act as a catalyst in the professional development of the capital markets; to function as a center for creating investor awareness through research and training and to provide consultancy services to entities in the securities industry. During the past two decades, the Institute has conducted over 800 Executive education programmes and trained over 18,000 practising professionals from India and other Asian countries. It has established itself as a premier institute in India for providing professional training in the area of financial markets. IICM follows a multi progned approach that combines education, research and advisory services.Realising the need for developing highly specialised and skilled professional for taking up career in the securities markets, IICM conceived the idea of launchine 1yr full time PG prgm VIZ. Securities Markets Programme in 2004, which is running its 6th year. Considering the new demand, has designed a 6mnth certificate course on Financial Engineering and Risk Management which has an overwhelming response.
