At Good Hope Tutoring Services, we tutor all grade levels K-12 and some college-level subjects. We do not have long-term contracts and our rates are reasonable and affordable! Whether your child attends public or private school or is being home-schooled, we can help! Our tutors: Are highly qualified Have background checks Are patient and will explain concepts in multiple ways Will motivate student(s) to learn Have positive attitudes The purpose of tutoring is not just for helping children with homework and projects. It is an ongoing process to help increase the student’s study skills, learning strategies, and test-taking abilities. Just because a student doesn't have homework, doesn't mean that they should not be tutored that day. There are a variety of academic areas that the student can improve upon. A good tutoring environment, which is a quiet place with adequate lighting, table and chairs, and the absence of pets, is highly recommended. Cell phones, iPods and other devices should not be around the area as they are a distraction. The student should have paper and plenty of pencils/pens for every session. Also, books should be brought home in the subject that the child is receiving tutoring.
