We exist to provide 'Every Chance for Everyone' when faced with a hard-to-treat cancer for which standard treatment options have been exhausted or do not exist. We empower both patients AND their oncologists to jointly exercise their 'right to try' innovative treatments, or to find novel trials in targeted medicines and immunotherapies which could: - potentially extend patients' lives; - improve quality of life, and; - provide more research insight to what improves cancer care. OUR PROJECTS: We know that collaborating with all sectors and stakeholders to find solutions will improve access to innovative cancer treatments and help clinicians to feel supported in decisions to pursue promising treatments currently outside of standard care. Our workplan to support both clincians and patients includes: - Organising a Conference/Symposium, showcasing and promoting discussion between NHS oncologists and clinicians conducting innovative treatments in the EU - Developing the 'ACT innovative treatments info hub', a trusted 'one-stop shop' resource to search and filter for all credible treatments and trials. - Building consensus around a 'UK Cancer Appeals Board' for patients and clinicians to feel supported in pursuing compassionate use drugs which are currently outside of standard pathways.
