Utrikespolitiska föreningen Jönköping
www.ufjonkoping.seUtrikespolitiska Föreningen Jönköping - also known as Society of International Affairs Jönköping - was formed by a small group of economics and political science students in the beginning of 2008. The main ambition was and always has been to spread knowledge and increase the interest in various aspects of the international realm while staying politically and religiously neutral. For us, the term “international affairs” includes a wide spectrum of areas and issues, ranging from international business, social responsibility to human rights and armed conflicts. We strive to cover all of these areas by organizing a wide range of activities such as guest lectures, debates, movie screenings and field trips. We welcome and encourage everyone who is interested in foreign affairs to join our events. Examples of some of the events we had 2013-14: – Multiple Perspectives on the Ukraine Crisis – Trip to the Iraqi Embassy and the Nobel Museum in Stockholm – Debate on Foreign Issues with Representatives from the Youth Wings of the Political Parties – "Supervalåret och den bortglömda utrikespolitiken" - Convention on foreign affairs in Uppsala, Sweden – Carl Bildt visits Utrikespolitiska föreningen Jönköping – Almedalsveckan 2014 in Gotland, Sweden We are a member of Utrikespolitiska Förbundet Sverige (the Swedish Association of International Affairs) which is the umbrella organization for all of the Societies of International Affairs associations from all over Sweden. Utrikespolitiska föreningen Jönköping is also a member of the Student Union at Jönköping University.
