Hope Foundation, a Christian non-profit organization, started its operations in the year 2001 in India. We were actively involved in various charity work like medical assistance, educational assistance to needy children, housing assistance, and other community services. In 2004 we began community outreach activities in the Kolar area (about 45 miles from Bangalore). Through our work in Kolar and its surrounding villages, we crossed path with many orphans. In 2007 we decided to invest in the future of these children and started our orphanage with 4 young children who had been abandoned. Today there are more than 50 children in the 2 units of the orphanage (one for boys and one for girls) that range in age 2 to 18. Our overall focus is on children and widows living in slums and rural areas of India.
