The Thao Van brand is tiny clothes and accessories telling a story... The adoption of her two children has radically changed Béatrice Lafont Ponson's personal and professional life. In December 2008, Beatrice flew with her husband to Hanoi to meet their son Jules Manh Quân (strong lord in Vietnamese). This event marked the first emotional turning point of their life. In April 2011, it is accompanied by their son Jules that they returned to Vietnam in Ho-Chi-Minh City, to meet their little girl Violette Thao Vân (creation of clouds in Vietnamese). The family was finally complete. Over the years, Béatrice has been yearning to create a high-end children's clothing brand inspired by Asia (3 months to 6 years old). This project was inspired by her experience of motherhood with her two wonderful children and her desire to maintain strong ties with Vietnam. In 2012, the children’s clothing brand Thao Van was born. Thao Van’s products are high-end and focus on quality and comfort. Beyond fashion trends, Thao Van proposes a line of timeless little clothes. The designs and forms are drawn up from classical basis but revisited with an Asiatic inspiration. Natural materials such as cotton, Kashmir, Baby Alpaca and Merino wool are favoured. All the models and designs are drawn by hand. Fabrics are printed in France (near Lyon) and products are created both in France (Lyon’s area) and abroad (Morocco and Maurice Island) in little sewing shop through fair trade. These prints are exclusive and represents the unique world of Thao Van. The brand wants to develop and encourage fair economic relations with sewing shop in Vietnam.
