Communication shapes the social world around us. In this process, media technology plays an increasingly important role. Since the introduction of the internet, we communicate differently than before: we form global communities around niche interest and leave digital traces as we surf the web. Algorithms use these traces to personalize our timelines. Or do they only polarize us? In the bubble society, we seem to understand each other less and less. New Momentum wants to use social media for positive change on the internet. We explore online communication networks to develop campaigns that break through filter bubbels and connect people.
