(public joint stock) with the aim of assembling construction equipment was established in 1972, on an open area of 90 hectares in the industrial city of Arak. HEPCO officially commenced its activities with the cooperation of International, Poclain, Sakayy, Daynapac and Lokomo, companies respectively from USA, France, Japan, Sweden and Finland in 1974. Following the Islamic Revolution, manufacturing of the construction equipment was put on the agenda of the company. Therefore, with the installation of a new set of modern machinery, together with the help and cooperation of German Co. of Liebhherr, the HEPCO’s development project, with the purpose of producing some 3000 units of different mining and construction equipment annually, had been initiated in 1984, which was completed and put into operation in 1992. Now, HEPCO produces and supplies the road construction, mining and agricultural. HEPCO, so far, has produced more than 31,000 construction machinery, mining and agricultural equipment.
