Since 1992, Mercy Education Project (MEP) remains passionate about empowering women and girls in Detroit, through Education. We support over 250 females every year, primarily from the communities of Southwest Detroit. For women, MEP offers Basic Adult Education, GED Prep, and a Bridge Program, that focuses on life after MEP as a higher education student or entering the workforce with a GED. For girls' grades 2 -12, MEP offers after school tutoring in Math and Language Arts, STEM extracurricular activities, an Emerging Leaders Summer Camp for middle school, and a College and Career Readiness program for grades 11 & 12. All services are 100% free of charge to our students, we also provide a nutritious meal and transportation to MEP and back home. Our approach is to nurture the entire student by providing each women and girl with a personalized education plan for success.
