The Torrey Pines Elementary School Foundation (TPES Foundation) is our school’s version of a PTA or PTO. The Foundation's mission is to provide resources to inspire learning, enrich teaching, and create equitable opportunities for the children, staff, and families of Torrey Pines Elementary School (TPES). TPES is a high-performing school designated a California Gold Ribbon Distinguished School by the California Department of Education in 2016. TPES is the only school in San Diego Unified School District to receive the 2019 National Blue Ribbon School Award. It consistently ranks as one of the top-performing elementary schools in San Diego County and the top five percent of schools in the state.
