Galmstrup Architects is a design practice specialised in cultural & community projects. Our work revolves around the cultural sphere and vary in scale from contemporary museums and galleries, community and retrofit transformations, to vision masterplans of heritage sites and entire landscapes. We engage with briefs, developing projects which are rooted in the narrative of a place and customised to the users. We work with a curiosity towards context and content delivering pragmatic designs inspired by local methods and craftsmanship, and delivered on time and to budget. Our strengths are in the creative design process and the ability to drive complex projects forward often in large interdisciplinary teams with many stakeholders. We are a small practice with 19 years of experience as architects, masterplanners and client advisors from large UK and international award winning architectural offices. Committed to community engagement, we established a non-profit sister company “Imaginations Cross Cultures” where we conduct engagement workshops and summer schools for young people.
