The JP Music Festival is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that holds its annual festival in September and music events throughout the year. The festival began in 2011 and is organized by the acclaimed songwriter and musician Rick Berlin and Shamus Moynihan. The festival’s music is always as diverse as Jamaica Plain itself, with genres this year featuring Afrobeat, Americana, Baroque, country, dance, folk, funk, gospel, hip hop, jazz, opera, pop, rock, ska, and soul.
