Galatea Surgical, Inc.
www.galateasurgical.comGalatea Surgical has joined BD. Together we are committed to the development, manufacture, and commercialization of innovative products for unmet needs in plastic and reconstructive surgery. The GalaFLEX Collection of Scaffolds are constructed from the company’s proprietary biomaterial known as poly-4-hydroxybutyrate (P4HB). This innovative, next-generation material confers excellent strength retention, elasticity, and biocompatibility designed for long-term support. Once implanted, P4HB will degrade in the body primarily by hydrolysis and is eliminated from the body via the Krebs Cycle to carbon dioxide and water. Although P4HB is eliminated from the body, its strength is retained at 2 to 4 times that of native tissue. GalaFLEX is intended for soft tissue support and to help repair, elevate and reinforce deficiencies in plastic and reconstructive surgeries. Advantages include: • Strong • Bioabsorbable • Predictable Performance • 3-Dimensional • Biologically Derived • Monofilament • NOW Available in GalaFLEX LITE™ For more information on the GalaFLEX Collection of Scaffolds, please visit us at www.galateasurgical.com
