Village Resiliency LLC
www.villageresiliency.comCurrent research shows roughly 65% of all youth have been impacted by trauma in some manner. On any given day, those youth interact with up to 6-10 adults (grade school closer to 3): multiple teacher(s), coaches, tutors, speech pathologist, after school provider(s), etc. However, often, the very individuals responding to a crisis or working with youth impacted by trauma do not receive adequate training on trauma informed de-escalation and response, leading to challenging or worsening interactions, with support staff and entire systems of care experiencing secondary trauma symptoms, burnout or high turnover. It can feel daunting to move from a crisis-driven framework to an intentional, trauma-informed framework; it doesn’t have to be! Village Resiliency provides consultation, staff training & workforce development on a wide variety of trauma-related topics, including preventing burnout and responding to vicarious trauma. We look forward with partnering with you as you build the skills needed to effectively create and maintain a trauma informed environment that empowers and supports resiliency within all youth.
