DEXA assesses bone mineral density and the body's soft tissue composition (muscle and fat mass) with 99% accuracy. Using these measurements we can determine your total body fat percentage, changes in regional body composition and even determine your risk of Type 2 Diabetes and heart disease. We also use the results from the DEXA to estimate your resting metabolic rate, which takes the guess work out of losing or gaining weight!
