The Motivation for Excellence Initiative (MFE) is the brainchild of two charitable foundations, the RG Manudhane Foundation for Excellence based in Mumbai, India and the Indira Foundation based in Greenwich, CT, USA. We target specific subsets of 3 broad areas: Education, Health-Care, and Self-Help (especially for women). While some programs are initiated and run by MFE a large majority are run by partner organizations. In these cases we collaborate with dynamic partners, supporting them with resources in the form of grants, guidance, and networking. At MFE, we have a strong belief in value-based excellence and a passion for helping catalyze improvements in society. We focus on solutions that are innovative, yet pragmatic and effective. We support programs that share the following five characteristics: 1. Innovation 2. Effectiveness 3. Validation 4. Excellence 5.
