MIX COPENHAGEN is the oldest annual returning film festival in Denmark and one of the oldest LGBT film festivals in the world. In 2016 the festival takes place from 30 Sep - 9 Oct, and presents the best, newest, and most courageous film talent within LGBT cinema. From 1986-2010 the festival was known as CGLFF – Copenhagen Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. In 2011 the name was changed to MIX COPENHAGEN. The festival is attended by more than 12.000 people each year, and national and international distributors within TV, film and various productions are invited. Our international jury awards the Lili Statuette to the best in competition within feature, short and documentary films. MIX COPENHAGEN is a non-profit organization driven by a dedicated team of volunteers. Our mission is to present films that bend genders, break sexual boundaries, stir up gender politics and reflect diversity. Thus our yearly selected films hold the potential to push societal and personal boundaries.
