Montezuma Land Conservancy was created in 1998 by a group of local citizens concerned about the loss of agricultural land in Montezuma and Dolores counties. Today, we work across three counties and have protected 45,000 acres of land in partnership with local landowners. Our work helps keep agricultural land in productions, provides habitat for wildlife, and maintains the high quality of life local citizens and visitors alike enjoy in southwest Colorado.
