VAWT-X Energy is a start-up, limited liability company registered and domiciled in South Australia. It’s immediate focus is on certifying and commercializing patented 2-bladed air-foil technology for large scale manufacture. To date rigorous and extensive simulated testing has demonstrated it will enable a quantum leap in vertical axis wind turbine efficiency that has until now only been achieved by the best horizontal axis turbines. We are currently in the process of seeking funding and support from angel investors, crowd funders and government to facilitate the manufacture and physical testing of prototypes for its 6 kw (VX-6) and 80 kw (VX-80). Testing and certification will be done in collaboration with one of South Australia’s leading universities.
