COMAL SpA

www.comalgroup.com

Comal SpA was founded in 2001 on the initiative of a group of technicians with meaningful experiences gained in the plant-industrial sector. He began his career as an installer of industrial plants, actively participating in the construction of thermoelectric plants, including that of Montalto di Castro, originally a nuclear plant. With the onset of the 2008 crisis in the plant engineering sector, Comal has diversified its activities by entering the renewable energy sector and specifically in the construction (with the EPC-M formula) of photovoltaic systems of large generative power, obtaining excellent results in terms of turnover volumes, plant performance, and customer satisfaction. Although the main part of the turnover comes from the construction of large photovoltaic plants, Comal is still present in the conventional plant engineering sector for mechanical-maintenance activities (for Enel, General Electric, etc.). The photovoltaic sector experience was first consolidated in South Africa and subsequently with the construction of large plants in Italy, for a total of over 600 MW of installed power to date. To name some of the institutional clients: ACEA, Octopus Investments, KGAL Investments, EDISON. In addition to the construction of the systems, Comal takes care of the O&M (Operational and Maintenance) phase for a minimum of 24 months, with particular reference to the aspects of maintenance, functionality, production performance of the systems, and anti-intrusion surveillance. Also, from April 2018, Comal supplies the single-axis trackers with solar tracking, structural components designed by Comal, totally produced in the Montalto di Castro plant. To date, Comal has provided trackers for over 350 MW.
