Green Scene Energy PLC is a private limited company established in 2016 to supply affordable, high quality solar energy products and services to the off-grid rural areas of Ethiopia. The products offered by Green Scene are namely; Solar Home Systems and lighting products, Productive Use / Irrigation solutions and EPC services for mini grids installations. To reach its customers Green Scene Energy partners with retailers, micro finance institutions, telecom operators and farmers associations to distribute the products using pay-as-you-go (PAYGO) financing mechanism. Starting operations in 2016, Green Scene has sold over 9,000 solar energy products in SNNPR, Amhara and Oromia regions of the Ethiopia. The target markets in the next five years is reaching 600,000 Households across all regions.
