We are a non-governmental organization with over 20 years of experience in lifelong learning. We seek to strengthen principles of good governance in the society at the local, regional and national levels, by providing lifelong learning focusing on target groups with a multiplication potential. We help to shape public policies and development of an open and sustainable society, based on plurality, cultural diversity, respect to fundamental rights, framed by good governance and democratic rule of law. Our portfolio comprises educational activities (education, training, and awareness-raising) as well as applied research, (policy) consultations and services for the national authorities, local and regional community. Our activities are oriented towards applying the knowledge and building competences and transversal skills. Since our establishment, we have fostered an international dimension through networking in international projects (LLP-Grundtvig, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius, Erasmus+), by development of cross-border cooperation (Ukraine, Austria) and by offering experience and expertise abroad (Moldova, Balkan countries, mainly through the Slovak Development Aid projects). We are a founding member of the NISPAcee (Network of Public Administration Institutions in Central and Eastern Europe) and an observer in the Platform of Non-Governmental Development Organizations in Slovakia. Since 2010 we are an active member of the Association of Adult Education Institutions in Slovakia.
