Nearby Nature is a non-profit education group dedicated to fostering appreciation of nature nearby and providing tools for ecological living. Founded in 1992, our staff and volunteers lead nature walks, host school programs, teach daycamps, run special events, maintain gardens, and do environmental restoration projects. We also teach classes for the Network Charter School, serve as the City of Eugene's Alton Baker Park Host, and maintain an interactive teaching Learnscape Garden. Thanks to our dedicated staff and volunteers, kids in our program spend 28,000* hours outside every year!
