South Central Industrial Association (SCIA) represents more than 250 member companies with over 200,000 employees, many of whom are engaged in servicing the oil, gas and marine operations in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and around the world. We serve as the economic engine for the bayou region, which is the hub for the offshore oil, gas and marine service businesses in Louisiana, while being interactive with the industry throughout the nation. In recognizing that we are "strength in numbers," SCIA advocates for levee protection, infrastructure, regulatory issues, workforce development, coastal preservation and coastal restoration.
