The Utility Service Agency, Inc. (USA) is a manufacturers' representative company for the electric utility industry. We specialize in tools and materials for the transmission, substation, distribution and lighting markets. We represent approximately 20 manufacturers for the Carolinas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Southern Maryland. With the expansion of Duke Energy into Florida and the Midwest, we have become the single point of contact for many of our principles and are actively supporting those regions. Since 1978, we have served the investor-owned utilities (IOU's), Cooperatives, and Municipal Electric Systems as well as the Contractors, Engineering Consultants, and Distributors who support them. By working closely with operations, engineering, and purchasing of these organizations, we are better able to understand customers' needs and issues. Additionally, the USA is very involved with in-field teaching and product demonstrations. We own and maintain numerous technical trailers for demonstration and training purposes. We pride ourselves on being a "hands-on" organization that is willing to do what it takes to solve the customer's problems. Our central office is located in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and we maintain satellite offices outside Charlotte, North Carolina, Columbia & Charleston, South Carolina, and Richmond, Virginia.
