Parks California

www.parkscalifornia.org

California is home to the largest and most diverse State Park system in the country. With 280 State Parks across the state, they provide access for everyone to enjoy natural beauty and diversity of our state’s mountains, rivers, coastlines, forests and deserts. Parks California is based on a new model for public, private and nonprofit partnership. Our approach is focused on building mutually supportive relationships among partners at many levels, bringing much needed resources to amplify the work of the park agencies and support organizations. Our strength is in our statewide collaboration, working creatively together to solve complex problems more efficiently and effectively, and create long term solutions. Together, we will ensure protected lands remain resilient while meeting the evolving, lifelong needs of all Californians. As a key nonprofit partner of the California Department of Parks and Recreation, our focus is to: - Expand and support park programs, amenities, and resources - Bring younger and more diverse audiences to parks and public lands - Help ensure our parks meet the evolving needs of all Californians To receive updates from Parks California, sign up for the e-newsletter at www.ParksCalifornia.org Join us on social media: Facebook and Twitter @ ParksCalifornia
