We currently stand on the brink of a technological revolution that will fundamentally alter the way we live, work and relate to one another. In its scale, scope and complexity, the transformation will be unlike anything humankind has experienced before. We do not yet know how it will unfold, but one thing is clear: the response to it must be well-planned, integrated and comprehensive, involving all stakeholders, from the public and private sectors, to academia and civil society. It is essential that Africa’s developing economies plan for the enormous effect the 4th Industrial Revolution will make to their national development plans. This conference and expo is aimed squarely at industries involved in delivering African country development goals. Africa Tech Week consists of a technology conference & expo with high-level industry sector-related breakaways. The sector-related breakaway sessions will have a panel of world-leading authorities on the 4th Industrial Revolution’s effect on that specific industry sector. The expert panel will include policy implications, challenges and opportunities. It will also include industry’s leaders from the private sector, civil society, investors, partners, experts, academics, buyers and sellers to all with a keen interest in the future of technology on the African continent.
