Thousands of children in remote parts of rural Africa face a stark choice: near-impossible daily walks to school in searing heat OR missing out on their education to face life-long poverty. A bicycle can be the only way a child can get to their nearest secondary school. Education is often their only route to an empowered future and a better life. The BIKES 4 AFRICA programme is a proven solution to this problem. BIKES 4 AFRICA is partnered by Rotary, HM Prison Service and African governments. As a programme founded by JOLE RIDER, it has delivered approximately 14,000 bicycles to schools in rural Africa. The positive impact these bikes have had on children's lives is beyond measure. The effect will be realised in the years and decades to come. Bikes4Africa was launched in 2018 as a separate entity.
