The Write House (founded December 2012) is an organization that consults on and teaches legal writing. We pioneered the Plain English movement in Nigeria by launching the plain-English movement into the Nigerian legal system. The Write House is Africa’s frontline team of legal-writing coaches, consultants, experts, mentors, and teachers. The Write House is a CPD (continuing professional development) centre for legal writing. The Write House was set up to fill the writing gap in Nigerian law through legal-writing consulting and training. The CEO of the organization is Chinua Asuzu, a Nigerian lawyer, author, and legal-writing consultant and expert. Since 2012, The Write House has been conducting legal-writing training–both public and in-house–for lawyers, judges, and legal personnel of various organizations. The Write House has also been consulted by public institutions and private organisations, law policy makers, and law firms, to render top-quality legal drafting services.
