For two years designing an alumni association lead by Mr. Fajar Adi Kusumo, finally Galatika UGM was established on Saturday June 7th 2014 and was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Universitas Gadjah Mada. The logo takes from an infinite symbol. The purpose of the infinite symbol is that mathematics alumni will not stop serving the alma mater and country. Symbols are also written with a pencil sketch, which indicates that a mathematician must know the basic in learning mathematics is by writing. The color is taken based on the color of the university alma mater jacket.
