The Battlesteads Dark Sky Discovery Observatory is a public observatory situated in a designated Dark Sky Discovery Site near the edge of the Northumberland Dark Sky Park. We are dedicated to delivering understandable & accessible stargazing sessions & astronomy teaching and learning to the public. Managed by professional astronomers, physicists and teachers, located at the Battlesteads Hotel in Wark, Northumberland the observatory is aimed at making our magnificent universe accessible to everyone. At the Battlesteads Dark Sky Discovery Observatory we deliver workshops, activities, drop in sessions, stargazing and astro courses to suit anyone from the absolute beginner to the professional.
