Classically-Trained Musicians and Award Winning DJs Divisi Strings has been serving its community with live wedding musicians for over 12 years. The earliest form of Divisi Strings, LLC began at the University of Houston in 2006. Four friends applied their individual talents to create “Divisi String Quartet.” The owner, Shelli Mathews soon had a larger vision in mind: a music entertainment company comprised of the most talented classical musicians given the freedom to perform at their highest levels. With an average performance schedule of 500+ engagements per year, Divisi Strings has serenaded guests for thousands of weddings, parties, showers, galas, proposals, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, recordings, concerts, film, non-profit organizations, and corporate events throughout Houston, Texas, and across the country. While Divisi Strings continues to grow, so do the ways we try and provide the best live wedding / corporate musicians and DJs to each of our clients. Our goal is to create a memorable experience before, during and after each event, a planning process that breeds confidence and trust matched by musical talent.
