Boylan Bottling's story begins in 1891, when pharmacist William Boylan, created an elixir in his New Jersey apothecary. He named that serum Boylan's Birch Beer and began selling individual cups from a barrel in the back of a horse-drawn wagon. Still, family-owned and operated, the Boylan Bottling Company is now headquartered in New York City.
