La vela means “the sail” in Spanish and just as sails propel ships through water, a coach supports you in shifting your behaviors and actions in a new direction. People hire a coach for a variety of reasons, but underneath it all lies a desire to gain new perspective and work through the self-limiting beliefs that can hold us back or make us feel stuck. During our first meet and greet session, we’ll explore your coaching goal(s) and why coaching is right for you now. If you believe I’m the right fit, you’ll put your goals in writing and reflect on them throughout our work together. Before each session, you’ll work through a template to focus our time together. We’ll explore that deeper during our 1:1 session and where we end up might surprise you. You’ll walk away with a few tangible actions to work on between sessions and I’ll ask you to hold yourself accountable for them. Come prepared to do most of the talking, and when it makes sense, I’ll provide some frameworks or concepts that might help you. When working with you, I balance candor with diplomacy, and seriousness with fun. You’ll get pushed out of your comfort zone and be encouraged to try something new.
