HAN Formula Student (HFS) is an international student race team that participates in the biggest design competition in the world, called Formula Student. For this competition, HFS develops a completely new vehicle every year to prove our engineering and business knowledge. The team is located within the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Our team consist of many international members from all faculties in the HAN UAS, the team has a broad knowledge about engineering, management, business and communications that compliments the teams performance in every aspect. After founding the team in October 2015, HFS had a very successful first year while participating in the most renowned Formula Student event in the world, on the Hockenheimring in Germany. The HFS-01, the first car HFS ever build, completed every dynamic event during the competition, ending in the 50th place out of 75 participants in the Combustion class. Over the past 11 years that Formula Student Germany is held annually, there never was a first-year team that completed every dynamic event, until HFS came around. Since the first season we have produced 3 more successful cars to add to our knowledge and we are now onto our last combustion class vehicle the HFS-05. The HFS-05 is set to be reliable, durable and an improvement on previous versions. We aim to finish strong in our last year of combustion before we move over to the HFS-06 (electric). This is HFS!
