Let’s Do It, Romania! - the biggest social movement and volunteering project in Romania! In 2007, Estonia decided to start a new project, to clean all the garbage dumped in their forests. This project led to the idea of cleaning the entire country with the aid of the community. Their Cleaning Day after movie inspired a group of enthusiastic young Romanians who decided to try the same thing in our country. Until now, we succeeded to bring together more than 1.400.000 volunteers, institutional authorities, companies, NGOs and media for this beautiful cause. They were the pioneers of a mass movement for a common cause, the clean Romania of illegally dumped solid waste. Our goals: - To create and develop projects that will raise people awareness and responsibility over the natural environment they live in - To develop and support environmental education activities in order to keep the country clean and to promote an eco- friendly behavior among people - To monitor and report all the polluted areas with the help of the community - To help the long-term development of our country, both socially and environmentally Apart from the National Cleanup Day, we are organizing also other projects: - Let’s Do It Danube! - education campaign and cleanup action in the Danubian counties - Let’s Do It Corporate! - cleanup actions for the corporate employees - Let`s Share & Care! - dedicated to gather resources from people and companies and bring them to communities in need
