One Step Greener is an NGO which strives for a zero waste future and aims to combat pollution by working on Waste Management, Recycling and Tree Plantations. It has been founded by two brothers, Vihaan (15) and Nav Agarwal (12). From 1 home in 2018, One Step Greener has scaled upto 1000 plus homes in 14 colonies and 2 schools of New Delhi. Till now, they have recycled over 80,000 kgs of waste and have saved 1279 trees, 76532 lts of oil, 1207152 lts water, 552 cum landfill space, energy to power 53791 average Indian homes for a day and 8965 pounds of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere. OSG is spreading awareness and offering training to: households, students and teachers in schools and universities, corporates, communities and RWA's 2. Started a pilot with 50 homes and have scaled it to over 1000+ homes in 14 colonies: Vasant Vihar, Shanti Niketan, Anand Niketan, West End, Safdarjung Enclave, Panchsheel Park, Greater Kailash 1, Defence Colony, Sultanpur, Chattarpur Ansal Villas, New Friends Colony, Friends Colony East, Friends Colony West and Maharani Bagh 3. Tool-kits have been developed for faster implementation including visual charts, boxes and bags to collect the waste and pictorial stickers of different waste both in English and Hindi. All the items are made out of recycled materials 4. OSG offers monthly door to door pick up service for dry recyclable waste and pays for the waste and responsibly recycles it by giving it to certified recyclers
