The Danish yard Nordship Yachts ApS was founded in 1978 under the name Buchwald Yachtværft. The founder of the company Lars Buchwald started by making accomodation and as sup-contractor for several well-known Danish ship yards. During the years he gathered a great knowledge from building/developing racing yachts, producing one-off projects and building several boats for sailing around the world. In 1988 Lars Buchwald acquired the rights for the Nordship boat program. He started an extensive development for all Nordship yachts, where all experience from previous constructions was used. New Nordship models were build. The Nordship Yachts are excellente decksaloon yachts in high quality. They are individually produced to satisfy the specific client wishes. The Nordship Program is today dominating the production of the yard in such a dimension that the name of the yard has been changed to Nordship Yachts ApS. Nordship Yachts is one of the leading manufactures of deck-saloon yachts. Since 2015 Nordship Yachts has also the rights for the Nordic Cruiser. A day cruiser with classic lines.
