Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) is a legal entity and has been registered with the Office of the Joint Stock Companies and Firms under the Companies Act 1913.The organisation was founded in 1993-94 following the initiative from a group of economic journalists to create a platform for promoting the professional pursuits. The Permanent address of the organization is 87 Purana Paltan, Paltan Tower, Lift-3 ,Culvert Road, Dhaka-1000.Currently there are nearly 251 members of the organisation. They are working for the mainstream print, online and electronic media outlets in different capacity and status including a number of editors and top media personalities. In addition to training and workshop for its members, ERF activities include pre-budget and post-budget consultation meetings with the Finance Minister, pre-monetary policy consultation with the central bank, seminars on national economic issues, meet the ERF by top policymakers and diplomats. Policymakers, be it public and private, bankers, economists and civil society leaders are well aware of the ERF.
