Subaru Corporation ceased production and sale of industrial products including general-purpose engines and generators with effect from September 30, 2017. Ongoing after-sales service will be provided by Industrial Products Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Kitamoto, Saitama Prefecture; president: Kazuto Shimada), a Subaru Corporation affiliate. In North America, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and Subaru Corporation have reached agreement, and have concluded a contract regarding transfer of the capital stock of Subaru Industrial Power Products. Effective October 2, 2017, Industrial Power Products of America (D.B.A. Subaru Industrial Power Products) takes over and continues after-sales service of Subaru Industrial Power Products in North America under the new ownership.
