#WEsharethemic centres the voices, work, experiences, activism and academics of marginalized people in Windsor-Essex by allowing them to take over social media feeds across our region. The campaign honours #ShareTheMicNow, a campaign founded in 2020 by Glennon Doyle to centre Black women. Our aim remains the same, to amplifying voices working toward change in our region's discriminatory systems by allowing individuals to reach an audience they previously hadn’t. The campaign also continues the hope to build relationships within our community, so that our future activism is born from relationships.
