ARC Energy was co-founded in 2007 by Dr. Kedar Gupta and Dr. Rick Schwerdtfeger to pioneer new low-cost methods of producing sapphire crystals. ARC Energy's technology is enabling the transition to from 2" and 4" to more efficient 6" and 8" sapphire LED substrate wafers. ARC Energy is a US-based manufacturer of Sapphire crystal growth, handling and processing equipment. Served markets include high brightness LEDs, mobile phone components and sapphire screens, optical and military components made from sapphire. ARC's next generation technology will provide lower cost solutions for sapphire screens, lenses, and substrates of all sizes, including those used for mobile phone applications.
